Church History

The History of Encounter Global Outreach Ministry

Less than five years ago, God placed a vision in the heart of Pastor Raleigh Thornton Jr. to establish a ministry that would transform lives and set people free from bondage. Before the birth of Encounter Global Outreach Ministry, faithful believers partnered with Pastor Thornton as he traveled the path of evangelism, carrying the message of hope, healing, and deliverance. Through his unwavering obedience to God’s call, this ministry was birthed to create a space where people could experience the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Thornton’s dynamic teaching and preaching style has ignited a fire in worshipers across the globe, drawing them into service and partnership with the ministry. His compassion for people and his passion for seeing them restored has been the foundation of Encounter Global Outreach Ministry’s mission.

Now, as one of the fastest-growing churches in the Dayton area, Encounter Global Outreach Ministry is building a strong family of committed members, ministry partners, and friends who are dedicated to kingdom-building. We are grateful for those whom God has sent to help fulfill His vision, and we eagerly anticipate the lives yet to be touched and transformed.

With a mandate to restore, transform, deliver, and set the captives free, we stand in faith, knowing that the best is yet to come.
